This glacier ski area, situated in the pristine Val Senales, offers wide runs ranging up to an altitude of 3,200 metres. Winter sports enthusiasts will find a varied ski area here set against a truly unique landscape.
Top ski athletes from all around the world come to the Val Senales glacier, which is near the site where
Ötzi the Iceman was found, for ski training. The valley descent along the glacier is 8 km long in winter, and it takes only 6 minutes for skiers to return to the glacier on the cable car. In addition to varied ski slopes
, Val Senales Ski Area offers a
3 km toboggan run, glacier cross-country trails with guaranteed snow coverage, and more than 300 km of signposted trails for
winter hikers of all experience levels. Majestic summit goals, including
Palla Bianco (Weißkugel) Peak towering at 3,738 metres above sea level, make for a true nature paradise for snowshoe hikers and
ski tourers. There are few ski touring areas in the Alps where you can reach so many
three thousanders without long climbs as in Val Senales.
