On the high plateau at around 2,450 meters a.s.l. is located the Lazaun mountain hut. From there two red ski-runs with a medium level of difficulty start and bring skiers directly in the village center of Maso Corto/Kurzras.
In the newly designed Kinderland, kids can enjoy their first experiences on skis. Equipped with an Indian “teepee” tent, two magic carpets, and a ski carousel, the playground in the snow provides an ideal area for kids to romp around on.
The sunny Finail ski runs are about one kilometer long and classified as blue runs. Therefore they are also suitable for beginners. Tip: unfasten skis at the mountain station, hike up to the level, and then enjoy the view to the south.
The Gletschersee ski run is an easy, blue slope and brings from the glacier to the glacial lakes. From there you can continue on the valley descent to Maso Corto/Kurzras, reach again the glacier with the chairlifts or reach the glacier opposite slopes by Hintereis chairlift.
The Glocken slopes in Maso Corto/Kurzras village are 350 meters long and due to the low slope inclination ideal for beginners. Next to them there are located both the Tiroli's Kinderland and the Val Senales Funpark.
On the wide Grawand glacier slopes you find a light and two medium-difficult ski-runs. Ideal to start your ski day on a length of 850 meters. At the end of the Grawand slopes it is a must to stop for a bite to eat at the Ötzi Biwak with its generous sun terraces.
The „Hasen-Abfahrt“, which means rabbit descent and takes its name from the Hasen-Kofel locality (rabbit hill), branches off from the „Transhumanz“ slope and leads skiers through a larch forest and along the hotels to the valley station of the Lazaun cable car. The Hasen-Abfahrt ski run is 920 metres long, 6 metres wide on average, with a maximum gradient of 29.7% and an altitude difference of 127 metres.
The starting point of the sun-drenched slopes is located at 3,115 meters above sea level. The medium-heavy red slopes bring skiers to the Bella Vista mountain hut and lead into the valley descent to Maso Corto/Kurzras.
The new black-labeled run is a training track for slalom and giant slalom specialists, offering the international elite in Alpine skiing the possibility to complete challenging workouts at the Senales Valley glacier skiing area in early autumn. But watch out: with a drop of 200 meters and an inclination of almost 60%, the Leo Gurschler ski slope is for experts only! It is in fact named after the local pioneer and visionary Leo Gurschler, who built the only glacier skiing area in South Tyrol, here in Senales Valley, 40 years ago.
The Teufelsegg slopes offer challenging ski-runs with spectacular views. At theirs end the Teufelsegg mountain hut invites to a culinary break.

The two to ten kilometer long high-altitude cross-country ski track on the Schnalstal Glacier is located at about 3,000 meters above sea level. Open from early October to December, it offers athletes from various national teams ideal conditions for the high-altitude training for the preparation of the next racing season. Also a lot of amateur cross-country skiers choose the Hochjoch track to do their season warm-up.
The cross-country slope Lazaun is situated next to the mountain station of the Lazaun cable car at 2,400 meters above sea level and is suitable for beginners. It is approx. 3 km long.
The chairlift brings you from the glacial lake back to the glacier and the Ötzi Biwak. There you can choose between the easy, blue ski run S1 or the Leo Gurschler steep. Here you can find also connection to the Grawand chairlift and following to the Schnalstal Glacier Cable Car which brings you back to valley.
The in 2017 newly built cable car on the left side of the valley leads to the high plateau Lazaun (2,430m).The new cable car traverses a change in altitude of 430 metres (1,400 feet) and can transport up to 1,980 passengers per hour. The 27 closed gondolas conveniently take skiers, tobogganers and winter hikers up to the Lazaun mountain station in just under four minutes. The mountain station lies at 2,430 metres (7,970 feet) above sea level and is the starting point of two ski slopes of intermediate difficulty covering a total distance of around 3.5 kilometres (2.2 miles) as well as a toboggan track of 3.3 kilometres (2 miles) in length.Refreshment: The Lazaun mountain hut offers a giant sunny terrace.
The chairlift with four seats brings pedestrians and skiers up to 3.212m to the mountain station of the glacier cable car.
The Hintereis chairlift brings skiers up to 3.115m a.s.l. - the view to the surrounding summits is impressive. Two red ski runs bring back to the valley and to the Bella Vista mountain hut with igloos, sauna and the highest open air pool of Europe.
The chairlift brings skiers and pedestrians in only six minutes directly to the Teufelsegghütte mountain hut at 2.453m. a.s.l.
The majestic Hochjochferner glacier lies along the border between Austria and Italy. The glacier cable car overcomes more than a thousand metres in altitude in six minutes and takes guests from Maso Corto up to 3,212 metres. Every year from September to May, winter sports enthusiasts hit the slopes at this world class 185-acre natural park. The glacier is equally suited to beginners and experienced skiers, as well as families. The real crowd pleaser is especially the 8 km long Schmuggler downhill slope leading into the valley.
